Resources & Supports for Bullying

If you are a child or teenager our message to you is you are not alone.  If you are being bullied or know someone who is being bullied - go and talk to an adult about it so they can help you work out how to make it stop. Remember the theme of Free You Be You- Take a stand for who you are!

This website http://bullyingnoway.gov.au/ has some great resources for you and a cool free App to download about bullying

For parents our message is seek help for yourself and your child from the school or a psychologist. One of the best defences against bullying for your child is to build good emotional resilience and supportive social relationships.  Resilience is the social and emotional ability to deal with the ups and downs of life. Building resilience involves teaching children coping skills to improve their ability to bounce back and face potential difficulties with confidence. Group programs such as Sugar & Spice for Girls and Enhancing Emotional Resilience run at the Lakeside Rooms at Robina are a fun way of teaching these skills to children.

The following websites provide helpful information for children & teens and parents on what they can personally do to obtain help http://bullyingnoway.gov.au/.  & http://au.reachout.com/
